WAYNE, Mich. – Residents of Wayne are on high alert as police investigate attempted break-ins.
The Avondale neighborhood is located south of Michigan Avenue and west of Merriman Road.
Michelle Hamlin said a burglar must be watching her every move. She made a quick trip to the grocery store Friday, and when she returned someone had tried to kick in her side door.
A surveillance camera caught images of a man sneaking around the home of an elderly neighbor late at night on the same street.
Many in the neighborhood have found their cars broken into and some have found that someone tried breaking into their garages.
Wayne police are investigating.
